BPSA-US Northeast Region Moot Headquarters
welcomed 142 Chipmunks, Otters, Timberwolves, Pathfinders, Leaders, Rovers and parents.
First Strike Search and Rescue led these Pathfinders and many others through First Aid Proficiency requirements.
The Grimme family was kind enough to make charming signs like these to mark activities for the very young non-readers at the Moot. Here we are at the entrance to the nature hike.
68th Frost Hollow Pathfinder, Victor lead the way through the cycling obstacle course like a pro.
We all had fun at the campfire, enjoying skits, songs, jokes, and even skills. The Otters surprised us with "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in American Sign Language, while the Timberwolves did a grand job of signaling to us in Semaphore.
Myself? I shared a campfire song my grandmother taught many years ago as a counselor: "Catalina Magdalena Hoopensteiner Wallenbanger Hogan Bogan Logan was Her Name."
Above we see 17th Black Bear Pathfinder, Mya receiving her silver arrow award for leadership. She is the first Pathfinder east of the Mississippi to earn this award.
A special hand-carved voyageur canoe paddle is offered by Commissioners, Rick and David to Lackawanna State Park Ranger Bacon for all his help behind the scenes keeping us all safe and comfortable. The campfire crowd exploded with cheers for him.
2017 Moot patch
Everyone together for one final picture. A good time was had by all. Can't wait until the next moot!
